Last Saturday in the late afternoon, it was a warm 29’ degrees out in the Perth Hills where I caught up with Emily and Dann for their Big Day Coming couple session.
Emily’s an Architect and Dann is an Accountant. They were a really sweet and chilled couple, who were very easy to talk to. They both have a love for nature, which certainly resonates with me!
It’s only a few weeks until their wedding in Fremantle, which I’m very excited about! Not because I live local to there, but more so, it’s the heritage, the vibe, and the people. There tends to be more of a chilled vibe down this end of town and I suppose that’s what I like.
So we ventured out on a track called Blue Wren Ramble in the Perth Hills. I don’t like taking couples to the same place I’ve already been to, I like to take them somewhere that’s going to be unique to them. If I was shooting at the same location, I feel I would lose my creative drive as you kinda know what to expect. At least with something new, it’s an open book, and your creativity is driven by something different.
Most of the time couples are quite unrelaxed and it takes a little time to get them warmed up, but after 45 mins these two seemed to be pretty comfortable with me and the camera! I always feel no magic really takes off until you’re all comfortable with one another.
Anyway, I feel we got some epic stuff, catching those golden rays after 5:00 pm. Apart from a billion jumbo ants with a bit of a bite on them (yep we all got a sting), it was all pretty chilled. Come and check out the Wedding pics soon!
