About

Me

G’day, I’m Chris, a Tassie-born nature-enthused guy, who’s a passionate surfer, runner, camper, faffer, muser, hiker, coffee fiend, donut inhaler (record of 8 in one hit), eating chocolate, smashing pastries, a vinyl addict and music lover with a big passion for Photography and anything visual with an adventure element thrown in. I established my business in 2014 following graduating from the Photography Studies College, Melbourne with an Advanced Diploma in Photography, majoring in Commercial Photography. In Melbourne, I spent my time working on my portfolio which included Weddings, Family, and Commercial Photography.

In 2015 on a balmy Melbourne eve, amidst the glittery glow of the ’70s themed wedding, I met my partner, Laura, who not long after convinced me moving out west to Fremantle would be an adventure not forgotten. Four months later, the two of us packed all my belongings into my 1994 Nissan Vanette. With the van full to brim and stomach full of butterflies, we adventured west, together. Since the glittery 70’s eve, our lives have been full of adventures around the southwest coastline, some small northern adventures, and a few overseas and interstate trips. We love camping, 4WDing, surfing, hiking, running, hanging out (in a non-relaxed way) with our crazy red-heeler dog, Spud and of course keeping us on our toes entertaining, chasing, loving and nurturing our adorable twins, Edwin and Iggy who arrived in June 2019. What a wild and incredible ride! As a photographer, I get my inspiration from what I love, which is documenting landscape (adventures), people and my little cute family. You will see a lot of that on my instagram pages @__milzo__. Or for a more professional look @_christophermillen_.

Since moving to WA, I have been working hard building my business as well as my professional skills fine-tuning them in a portraiture studio, on location, working in schools with kids and content creation for businesses. I love what I do, whether it’s working with start-ups, commercial and landscapes. I come with a friendly, sometimes quirky, calm and relaxed nature. I also come with an approach that enables you to completely relax and be yourself in front of the camera. There is no need to stress!

So, if you fancy getting on board, I would love to hear from you and thank you for visiting Christopher Millen!
