Julie + Bao's Big Day Coming couple session in the Perth Hills

I’m shooting Julie & Bao’s Wedding next month, which I’m super excited about! Most of the time I like to get my clients out for a pre-wedding session. I’ve said it a lot on my blogs and social media, but it’s such a great opportunity to chill out with one another before the big day! You get to know one another more. I’m asking questions, but not hammering them. Just letting it flow nicely, so we can get a nice chilled vibe happening, whilst easing the couples stress with my camera. I would say 80% of the time, couples take about 45-60mins to warm up to the camera, then the magic flows.

We headed up to the Perth Hills, to yet another epic destination. I swear the hills has so much to offer! I feel I’ve barely touched on the place and I think that’s what keeps my fire alive. Always looking for something new!

So we were warned by the BOM that there was a severe weather warning, which fizzled into nothing. Apart from some big, dark and ominous clouds, it really was a soft prediction from the BOM! Come on! Don’t get me so excited!

I get this passion from Tasmania. I spent a lot of my teens and early - mid 20’s surfing freezing cold winters, in (most of the time) wild and windy weather. It was such an incredible part of my life, it’s locked in there forever. I often crave those days, still now. That kind of landscape gets me excited and I really want to bring unpredictable weather into my couple sessions. That’s of course, if they’re up for it! Winter vibe here in Perth may work!

Anyway, got a little sidetracked there, but Julie and Bao’s couple session was so good, apart from the ridiculous 39’ weather we copped! So much drama in the images when you get amongst a potential storm! Monday session! I like, it keeps the crowds at bay!
