Since early 2019 I’ve had this great couple Anthony & Gemma as a client. It all started from a Facebook promotion, just testing the waters to try and attract the right clients.
The first session involved going on a little adventure from their place out in the eastern suburbs with their new German Shepherd Moseby. We all jumped in their car and headed out to Kwinana Beach on a humid, overcast, and moody Sunday. Their big pup had a lot of energy, so I was just documenting the three of them on the beach trying to wear their pup out!
Fast forward a few months, we all caught up for a coffee in Freo and Anthony & Gemma kindly asked me to shoot their wedding in Melbourne. This was all pre-covid of course.
So Covid kind of stuffed up their plans to have a Wedding in Melbourne, so they eloped down at Rockingham Lakes. This time the weather was looking very stormy. Whilst I was driving to their elopement, it pissed down, but once I got to the Lakes it stopped. Luckily we didn’t get any rain whilst they both eloped. It was epic with the threatening skies in the background.
12 months later which was Saturday just gone, we all got together and did a 12-month anniversary session up at Swan View tunnel and at the very unpopular, blue boat shed. Haa ha not! Anthony and Gemma wore their Wedding attire that was meant for their Melbourne wedding, so it was a top idea to put to good use.
Three years later and three sessions in, who knows what will be around the corner with these two, but they’ve been such a great client.
I seriously recommend getting out and having a couple sessions anytime between now and early September if you’re thinking of this. Getting married or just wanting to get some damn fine shots of yourselves, then this is the time.
It’s also a great opportunity to get comfortable with the camera and your photographer, before your big day. I don’t know about you, but I love getting to know my clients before their big day! Here are some images from Saturday.
